Effective communication could mean words, images, videos, graphics or even codes. What works for one doesn't work for the other. As a Journalism and Communication major, this is my battleground and I embrace the different media that is available to me to work with.

But I have always been a Writer first. Writing has come naturally to me, I write about how I feel often and it has become my equivalent of a muscle strengthening exercise. I enjoy the process of writing more than anything else; it's like a documentation of one's thought process and creative route and I think it can be a very interesting thing.

I have an aptitude for English Writing since a young age and was singled out by my mentors for my performance. I am also a rank holder in the GCSE UCLES English Examinations. 

I grew up reading the papers and have a flair for news and current affairs, and enjoy discussions over it. You could say I fit the stereotype of a Journalist who sees a story in everything.

As part of the last generation to grow up without smartphones, I find both digital and non-digital media to be charming, but the scope for creative presentation in the digital scape is something I love to follow. In the abundance of information and competition, I think it broadens the scope for creativity, knowledge, and growth. I aspire to master this digital media scape while being committed to producing fact-checked information and unbiased news through the most effective channels of communication. Media is an ever-powerful tool and I believe it must be utilized rightfully.

When it comes to my interest in visual media, I love to capture personal moments with photos and videos where I don't believe in aesthetic standards, but rather in self expression; one's own interpretation of a place or memory that adds to the aesthetic quality of any piece. It is what I strive to achieve on my personal social media as well.

This would not however conflict with my professional work, as I believe adhering to industry standards is particularly important in the media industry.

I also believe emotional intelligence is very important, and my degree in Psychology has better equipped me in understanding design, the audience and media. With emotional awareness and social intelligence, I believe I can communicate effectively and I can adapt working with a team or solo.

Learning about cultures is among my other interests and I enjoy watching period dramas, reading periodical pieces and visiting historical places. I am an anachronistic soul that feeds on ruins, but I believe in the power to change the future by embracing differences and standing together.

I can write about any topic. Although, my skills shine in Feature Writing, News Writing and Editing, Essay and Article Writing. I am thorough with research and can compile information according to given guidelines.

I also have basic video editing skills and photography skills. I can strategize social media campaigns and copywrite for advertisements as well.

Most importantly, I am a quick learner and can pick up a variety of other skillsets through training and mentorship.
